Les incendies de forêt qui continuent de ravager le Québec ont un impact négatif sur la qualité de l'air dans de nombreuses régions de la province. Voici sept conseils pour vous protéger de la fumée :


Des avertissements de smog sont actuellement en vigueur dans plusieurs régions du Québec, notamment en Abitibi, en Beauce, à Drummondville, en Estrie, à Gatineau, à la Tuque, au Lac-Saint-Jean, à Lachute, dans Lanaudière, dans les Laurentides, en Mauricie, dans la région de Montréal, à Laval, à Québec, au Saguenay, au Témiscouata, dans la Vallée-du-Richelieu et à Vaudreuil-Soulanges.


Environnement Canada rappelle que même de faibles concentrations de fumée des incendies de forêt peuvent être nocives pour la santé, en particulier pour les personnes atteintes de maladies pulmonaires (comme l'asthme), de maladies cardiaques, les personnes âgées, les enfants, les femmes enceintes et les travailleurs en extérieur.


Voici les recommandations à suivre :


  • Rester à l'intérieur.
  • Fermer les fenêtres et les portes de votre logement.
  • Éviter les activités physiques à l'extérieur.
  • Arrêter l'échangeur d'air et utiliser un purificateur d'air si possible.

Si vous devez sortir, il est préférable de :


Vous informer sur la qualité de l'air locale.

Porter un masque de type N95 bien ajusté qui ne laisse pas passer l'air afin de réduire votre exposition aux particules fines de la fumée.

Écouter votre corps et réduire ou cesser toute activité si vous ressentez des symptômes.

À ce jour, il y a encore 116 incendies en activité dans la province, dont 27 sont considérés comme hors de contrôle.
